Training abroad is offered through ARC's affiliate centers, with varying levels of support from ARC. The three main areas are business training, specialized training and project/logistics management.

Business Training

Each of ARC’s affiliates in the Russian Far East offers subsidized basic business training for individuals who have little or no experience in business and fee-for-service advanced business courses and consulting for experienced managers and mid-level business professional. Topics include:

  • accounting practices
  • international trade

Specialized Training

Each of the ARC’s affiliate centers develops and conducts courses and pilot programs designed to improve the business climate and foster SME development growth. Topics include:

  • reducing administrative barriers to SME development
  • alternative SME financing mechanisms
  • systems for supporting due diligence research
  • HR management and industry specific management training
  • managerial accounting
  • business reporting

Project/logistics management

ARC’s affiliate centers in Khabarovsk, Sakhalin and Vladivostok provide training for technical professionals and potential trainers on project management and logistics management. Project Management training focuses on:

  • business concepts for engineers
  • project scope management
  • HR management in engineering companies
  • negotiating contracts
  • computer project management aids (Microsoft project)
  • risk management
  • managing projects and decision-making in conditions of uncertainty
  • managing time and cost
  • quality management and communications
Logistics Management training focuses on:
  • effective supply chain management through trust relationships
  • inventory control /when and why size matters
  • securing the supply chain /technology to combat theft and terrorism
  • measuring value added along the supply chain
  • international logistics: the effects of barriers to trade
